Supply Chain Group Leader

Description

As a Supply Chain Group Leader, you will have supervisory responsibilities for a medium/large group of employees in supply chain operations. The candidate will be responsible for the implementation and execution of business processes in supply chain to support vehicle operations, as well as foster an atmosphere of teamwork through effective communication, training, coaching, and development. This position provides a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally to support Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environment (SPQRC).

Key Deliverables / Job Elements:

•\tSupervise medium/large team in supply chain operations in vehicle manufacturing plant.

•\tResponsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.

•\tResponsible for ensuring proper training, development and evaluation of hourly team members to promote highly effective teams.

•\tLead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.

•\tMaintain a good working relationship and communicate with employees, union representatives, and management team.

•\tUnderstand and consistently administer collective bargaining agreements and company policies.

•\tAchieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators supporting the BPD.

•\tCultivate a safety culture, and implement and enforce workplace safety rules and policies, including ergonomics, health and safety, and good housekeeping.

•\tComplete administrative tasks such as timekeeping and maintains departmental records and reports.

•\tMeet production cost schedules by supporting Production’s ability to ‘Build in Station.”

•\tMaintain delivery methods for all operational material systems.

•\tUtilize appropriate inventory controls and follow up.

•\tCoordinate operational changes with Production.

•\tManage scrap appropriately and timely.

•\tIdentify opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits.

•\tResolve issues working cross-functionally to closure.

•\tPerforms all other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00
