Real World Responsibilities:

During your time with us you will:

This position will be responsible for a specific project that is assigned in the areas of commodity management, supplier quality, or supply chain analyticsThe candidate is likely to participate in an RFQ process, supplier evaluation process, a selections process, negotiation process, as well as working supplier issues and supplier maintenance Comply with purchasing policies/procedures, as well as legal/ethical obligationsAssist in documenting and creating processes and standard work in the supply chain/sourcing functions.Support commodity manager(s) in their daily workAssist in negotiation preparationIdentify and implement cost savings opportunities through spend analysis, supplier negotiations, business resourcing, value added and value engineering opportunities, and other purchasing methodsSupport manufacturing operations and quality department with supplier issue resolutionAdministrate Blanket Orders, Purchase Orders and Vendor Master Information in the ERP systemAbility to analyze complex data, identify and execute savings opportunities, implement sourcing strategies, and quickly execute tasks to realize benefits.

Must haves:

 Pursuing a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Materials, Technical or related fieldVerbal and written skills - ability to communicate to all levels of management required.Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one timeAttention to detail and accuracy

Nice to haves:

MS Excel and PowerPoint experience, experience with Oracle and access or other SQL application is a plus.Complete an agreed upon project (related to Supply Chain), culminating in a formal report out to sr. leadershipAbility to multi-task multiple categories & projects. Ability to coordinate strategies/activities across multiple business functions.Financial & quantitative analysis experience a plus. Problem solving skills are essential.

The salary range for this position is $20 to $26 per hour.
