Axalta is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Inventory Manager to join our team!
As a Supply Chain Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with our business units to optimize and streamline our inventory management processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations in both make-to-order and make-to-stock environments. You will analyze current practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance inventory visibility, accuracy, and control.
In this role you will:
Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their unique inventory management needs and challenges in both make-to-order and make-to-stock environments.Conduct comprehensive audits of existing inventory management systems and processes across the organization.Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in inventory tracking, storage, and distribution across different production models.Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy, reduce stock-outs, and minimize excess inventory in both make-to-order and make-to-stock scenarios.Work with cross-functional teams to integrate inventory data with other business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, WMS).Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures, such as cycle counting, ABC analysis, and just-in-time (JIT) principles, tailored to the specific needs of each business unit.Provide training and support to warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams on best practices in inventory management for both production models.Analyze inventory data and generate reports to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement across make-to-order and make-to-stock environments.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact inventory management in diverse production settings.Manage and mentor a team of inventory specialists to ensure efficient and effective inventory management processes.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in inventory management in both make-to-order and make-to-stock environments.Experience implementing inventory optimization strategies and achieving measurable improvements in diverse production settings.Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions for make-to-order and make-to-stock challenges.Experience working with large data sets using tools such as Excel or PowerBI.Experience leading projects and using change management skills, adapting to different production models, and working closely with business unit leaders.Proficient in using inventory management software, data analysis tools, and reporting systems.Our Company:
