Leads a Warehouse / Logistics organization, defines and implements Warehouse / Logistics strategy, standards and guidelines in area of responsibility.This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating and leading Warehouse operation (3 different locations within the campus) activities, including receiving, warehousing, shipping, delivery and inventory accuracy in a manner consistent with Siemens Healthineers service and cost objectives.
Responsibilities include leading the management of the warehouse teams functions including receiving, staging, picking, dispensing, shipping, and inventory control to ensure goals and objectives of the unit are achieved. This includes continuously improving operations, driving the business using performance data, financial data, and organizing and overseeing the schedules and work of assigned staff to support multi-shift production operations; and maintaining regular performance and accountability discussions with employees.

Directs all Operations activities and teammates in 3 different locations / warehouses within the Siemens Healthineers Newark campus (based on revenue, complexity, headcount).Provides leadership to warehouse staff consisting of Supervisor, non-exempt employees and contract workers.Effectively applies good management practices to build and maintain a positive, motivational work environment through regular coaching, performance management, recognition and reward and corrective actions when required.Possesses a strong work ethic and ability to work effectively and gain the cooperation of coworkers and staff.Manages and leads the department through clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing.Develops the team and processes to drive productivity and ownership within the department.Oversees department’s succession planning, identifying, attracting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.Works with Glasgow leadership to develop and execute initiatives to improve warehouse metrics that drive financial performance.Reviews and approves appropriate Warehouse expenses and makes capital recommendations where appropriate.Leads the achievement of functional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Warehouse Capacity and Inventory.Oversees all customer service for the warehouse functions, resolving issues relating to service quality, pick pack and ship requirements, and deliveries.Coordinates with Americas Distribution Center (ADC) and European Distribution Center (EDC) and Global Logistics Operations as needed.Enforces Siemens Healthineers Human Resources Policies and Glasgow Warehouse SOP’s.Monitors and reports performance of warehouse operations, implementing root cause analysis to consistently work towards improving employee relations, customer quality, and operational efficiency.Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material, dating merchandise, storage requirements and reporting agencies (DOT, DEA, FDA, OSHA, ISO etc.).Required skills to have for the success of this role
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.7 to 10 years of successful experience in Warehouse/Distribution Operation Management preferably within the healthcare/medical device industry.7 to 10 years supervisory, leadership, planning, communication, organizational change management, and people motivation experience.In depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, distribution, and/or warehouse management best practices.Ability to work decisively within a matrixed environment.Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively lead, coach and mentor all levels of teammates.Demonstrated understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, team building, performance management, and disciplinary action.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence senior level management.Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to direct large complex initiatives across a broad network and ensure completion.Proven ability to analyze and conclude; experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies and standardize processes across multiple functions.Ability to lead and drive change among peers and direct reports.Knowledge and application in SAP and MS Applications including Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.Must pass a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) background check.At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
