Your role and responsibilitiesAs Cluster Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager, ABB Robotics DACH, your mission is to translate the Business vision and Global Sourcing & SCM strategy into a local master plan. You will support the growth of the DACH Robotics Cluster by leading the Supply Chain Management function throughout the extended value chain. Including the processes from Suppliers to End Customer, with full accountability for developing, implementing and running safe, compliant, sustainable and lean SCM operations, including SCM staff leadership, in accordance with Company instructions and Business strategy. The scope of this role is direct accountability for SCM function in the DACH cluster, utilizing local, regional and global suppliers for both services, project materials and catalogue materials used in Robotics projects. Seamless cross country and cross function collaboration is essential for success.You will be mainly accountable for:Strategy:• Supports development and implementation of Global SCM strategies for areas such as QDCI Optimization, Strategic Sourcing, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management, Quality and Sustainability.• Builds and develops a network of local and global key suppliers and integration partners while implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with the Business Line strategy and D&SCM guidelines.Procurement:• Manages end to end Supplier Relationship Management, ensuring smooth, cost-effective, and high quality standards and operations across the Cluster.• Manages and optimizes planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines and industry best practices.• Collaborates with SCM community locally and globally, as well as with solution centers in ABB Robotics. Monitoring:• Oversees planning and logistics of incoming materials and services based on the procurement plan and project schedule. Supplier agreements:• Main focus is on project related SCM. Seeks bundling opportunities in country and between countries. For repetitive supply, defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.• Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
Qualifications for the roleRequired bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related area of study.Minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain functions.Preferred 12 years experience in manufacturing and engineering company environments.Prior experience leading a Supply Chain team as an SCM Manager.Prior experience working in cross-functional teams and in multicultural and international environments.Previous experience in robotics and/or industrial companies would be a plus.Open to travel 20% for both local and international locations.
