Let’s change the world! oversee the operations and governance of a key third-Party Logistics Service Provider (LSP) supporting the raw material distribution operations within the Amgen manufacturing network. You will be accountable for on-going operations oversight, compliance, cost management, cross functional project management, and governing the relationship with this key provider. This Manager ensures regulatory compliance for area of responsibility, and that all work is completed per cGMP, OSHA and all Amgen policies and regulations. Integral to this role will be the responsibility of reinforcing processes and relationships with Logistics Service Providers, Transportation Service Providers, and Amgen sites. **Responsibilities:** + Lead the strategic partnership with the 3rd Party Logistics provider (3PL) serving as the primary liaison between Amgen manufacturing sites and the provider. + Develop and execute the on-site operations strategy in partnership with 3PL local leadership team, manufacturing sites, planning, and transportation. + Lead and monitor integration of SAP and LSP systems; prepare and present governance views: monthly dashboards, scorecards, KPIs and metrics sufficient to measure performance. + Lead/participate cross-functional work streams with 3PL, accounting, corporate systems planning, procurement, master data, pricing and contracting, quality, manufacturing network, supply chain, technical operations, and information systems. + Facilitate resolution of quality issues within the 3PL warehouse (e.g. damage, packaging list errors, temperature excursions). + Investigate and resolve all shipment and ERP exceptions, including incomplete shipments and quantity discrepancies, including quality record ownership. + Ongoing project management focused on continuous process improvement. + Provide and communicate inventory status updates and support advanced transactions requiring research and intra-department coordination and/or approvals. + Provide overall supply support to manufacturing network (e.g. troubleshooting, work priorities and assists with formulating corrective actions), to ensure the timely effective completion of tasks and alignment to company goals and objectives. + Support manufacturing by ensuring optimal raw material distribution and contractual performance of the 3PL. **What we expect of you** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The dynamic professional we seek is a self starter with these qualifications. **Basic Qualifications:** Doctorate degree **Or** Master’s degree and 2 years of supply chain experience **Or** Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of supply chain experience **Or** Associate’s degree and 8 years of supply chain experience **Or** High school diploma / GED and 10 years of supply chain experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience managing and/or operating 3rd party logistics service providers. + Ability to liaise/communicate optimally and easily with cross-functional teams and different cultures (excellent written and verbal communication skills). + Experience with ERP/WMS (preferably SAP). + Manage quality records related to LSP Operations (i.e., inventory, compliance, distribution, QMS). + Understanding of industry requirements (GMP, GDP). + Demonstrated success in Operational Excellence and major organizational change initiatives. + Understand and incorporate risk management strategy into overall supply chain strategy for delivery of product. + Self-leadership and motivation. + Strategic mindset. + Serves as a role model for Amgen Values. **What you can expect from us** As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
