Supply Chain Manager 3
Position Overview We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager III to join our International Supply Chain and Logistics Team.    The Supply Chain Manager III will be responsible for securing and managing resources for multidisciplinary projects, with the objective to effectively manage the change process by ensuring the achievement of projects to time and specification. They will manage daily, weekly and monthly ad-hoc projects as well as larger, multifaceted projects requiring coordination, data gathering, analysis and reporting. The ideal will be responsible for managing a team of container and packaging professionals, develop metrics, scope program projects and execute contracts with container manufacturers. There is a heavy emphasis on managing program development, scope of work and overall program capital for Supply Chain and Logistics operations as they pertain to the program Responsibilities Develops new packaging or containers to meet established requirements and maintains oversight and quality of existing packages/containers for all product groups Defines package requirements for product groups and customer requirements Develops recommendations according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, legal requirements, and the type of protection required, taking into consideration the need for resistance to external variables. Responsible for data gathering and reporting of all department objectives and metrics Collaborate with internal and external contacts to initiate and drive process improvement activities Assist in the documenting of root cause and reporting related to supplier fulfillment issues Coordinate with IT on systems enhancements and new systems implementation Responsibilities may include documentation management and an understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) Uses appropriate tools and performs integrity analysis of packaging Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 8 years of materials management or supply chain experience At least 2 years of management experience OR Master's degree At least 6 years of materials management or supply chain experience At least 2 years of management experience OR At least 10 years of materials management or supply chain experience At least 2 years of management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills Technical Skills: Understanding of packaging materials and technologies. Proficiency in software tools for modeling and optimization. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics related to supply chain performance. Strong problem-solving skills to address packaging efficiency and cost issues. Project Management: Experience in managing projects from conception to execution, especially related to packaging and logistics. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. Strong negotiation skills for vendor contracts and partnerships. Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with regulations related to packaging materials, safety, and sustainability. Relevant Work Experience: Experience with containerization methods and best practices in shipping and logistics. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with R&D, production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on packaging solutions. Personal Attributes Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in packaging design and compliance. Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changes in regulations and market demands. Innovative Thinking: Creativity in developing new packaging solutions that reduce costs and improve efficiency.
