**Your next challenge will be…**
Lead the Supply Chain Team in line with company objectives and reporting to the General Manager. The SCM will be responsible for the management of material supply lines to support Revenue and Inventory plans throughout the full product life cycle from new product introduction to end of life retirement.
The SCM will interface directly with both Suppliers and Customer developing partnerships and acting as the focal point for all SCM related issues.
The SCM will provide leadership in the development of strategies to provide optimum flexibility with minimum investment while complimenting the Global Supply Chain strategic plan.
**Your day- to-day activities will include…**
Leadership
+ Leading the development of supply chain strategy for the Galway site in line with global/corporate guidelines.
+ Overseeing the design, development, integration and maintenance of Supply Chain (SC) systems, tools, processes and training at the site.
+ Compiling and reporting Key Process Indicators (KPIs) for the SC function to local and global partners including Business control processes.
+ Driving continuous improvements of on-site Supply Chain Management (SCM) function through interactions with local stakeholders, Global Business Services (GBS) and Global Supply Chain organisations.
+ Working to identify and implement cost saving measures contributing to site wide spend management initiatives.
+ Leading efforts to reduce material, warehousing and freight costs.
+ Managing directly a group of SCM employees including Master Scheduler, Planners, Buyers and Inventory Analyst.
+ Being responsible for employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition within the Supply Chain Team.
Planning
+ Supervising generation of the master schedule, ensuring customer forecasts are converted into material and resource plans compatible with Global SC strategies.
+ Developing materials supply schedule to support revenue and inventory objectives.
Purchasing
+ Maintaining overall responsibility for the material procurement function, leveraging a remote Global Purchasing Function for back office transactional activity.
+ Developing relationships with Supply Base.
+ Ensuring continuous material supply and on-time delivery, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and achieving challenging targets of Inventory turns.
Logistics
+ Managing relationship with external Freight Carriers, Customs Brokers and third party logistics partners.
+ Reviewing service providers in context of quality, price and performance.
+ Being responsible for import logistics including carrier contract negotiations and premiums, as well as importing Customs clearance.
+ Ensuring compliance on all Customs regulations and laws.
+ Supervising escalation programs related to Customs and Freight.
Inventory
+ Developing and executing inventory management strategy including forecast analysis, stock inventory reporting and action plan assessment.
+ Driving continuous improvement to minimize inventory holding costs and providing necessary management analysis and reporting.
+ Providing guidance and direction to business units to achieve site inventory financial results.
+ Being responsible for annual physical inventory, Excess and Obsolete management and disposition of scrap material.
+ Developing, implementing, tracking, and reporting inventory results for Celestica global teams.
Warehousing
+ Managing the warehouse and material handling for all site business units, 24x7, while maintaining appropriate level of security including responsibility for third party warehousing.
+ Managing pack out and shipping operations ensuring export customs compliance to all applicable regulations and laws.

**What do we expect from you?**
+ 8- 10 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role with a minimum of 2+ years at Supply Chain Manager level.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Strong knowledge of ERP systems and expert SAP skills essential.
+ Experience in multinational environment.
+ Experience in medical device manufacturing processes.
+ Experience in Electronics industry and Supply base desirable.
+ Ability to manage Inventory of considerable value.
+ Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
