Description Job Summary Robert Half is looking for a proactive and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage supply chain operations for our client in Bolingbrook, IL. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $25.00. The ideal candidate will have a passion for optimizing supply chain processes, coordinating procurement strategies, and ensuring timely product delivery to drive operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities + Supply Chain Coordination: Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and distribution. + Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiate terms, and resolve supply-related challenges. + Inventory Oversight: Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Ensure proper inventory controls and accurate reporting. + Process Optimization: Analyze and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. + Shipping & Logistics: Coordinate transportation and logistics schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products. + Forecasting: Review and analyze demand forecasts to plan inventory and procurement needs. Collaborate with internal teams to align supply with production schedules. + Data Analysis: Track key supply chain metrics and create reports to identify trends, improve processes, and maintain data accuracy. + Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, sales, and customer service, to align supply chain operations with business goals. + Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards throughout the supply chain processes. Requirements Qualifications + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required. + Experience: 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). Experience with ERP or supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) is a plus. + Critical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail. + Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to manage vendor and internal team relationships effectively. + Leadership Attributes: A self-starter with a track record of managing multiple priorities and driving results under minimal supervision.
