Quanex is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team located in Irving, Texas.
In this role you are responsible for leading and directing the materials functional area in a high volume, team oriented, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for the planning, production scheduling, and procurement of all purchased components, raw materials and finished products required for Manufacturing and Distribution Operations. You will be developing and executing strategic inventory plans and collaborate with other functional managers to ensure effective communication on inventory.

Accountable for the inventory section of working capital reviews while generating and providing an update for ongoing inventory reduction projects. Develop a measurement/feedback system with key metrics to assess the performance of the supply management team. Ensure all company required tools, programs and management systems are properly implemented and documentation to support them are up to date. Train and develop the materials organization, provide support and advice/mentoring to the materials team. Responsible for managing the overall Sales and Operations Planning Process at the plant level.What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or business from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and Materials or Supply Chain role. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role directly managing salaried professionals. APICS Certification preferred and/or in process. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, costs, and quality control.Annual salary for this role is around $125,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
