Objective:
As a Supply Chain Manager at BerryDirect, the supply chain arm of Edible Brands, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimizing operations for our restaurant chain, Roti. In this hands-on position, you’ll manage inventory, procurement, and distribution while driving innovation to enhance supply chain efficiency. By building and maintaining strong distributor relationships, identifying new partners, and contributing to key projects, you’ll directly impact Roti’s success.
Your cross-functional collaboration will significantly impact sales and profitability by ensuring that Berry Direct delivers products on time, in the right quantities, at competitive prices, and with the highest quality to the right locations.
Location: This position will work onsite out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA, with work from home flexibility on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
Manage inventory levels for perishable and non-perishable products to achieve business objectivesSelect and negotiate with vendors to secure optimal product proposals and termsBuild strong relationships with cross-functional teams (Product Development, eCommerce) for alignment on sales and promotionsManage perishable and non-perishable products category spending for RotiWork with suppliers to optimize fill rate and service satisfactionAnalyze and report monthly on inventory, sales, and key performance metricsContribute to supply chain innovation projects aimed at improving value, quality, and serviceEnsure supply chain strategies align with short- and long-term business prioritiesCapture performance metrics and management control points for processes and track key metrics at the department level Oversee and build relationships with current and new suppliers, identifying the best opportunities for the organization. Work with vendors to approve and ensure that items are properly shown in ordering platformsEnhance capabilities across the enterprise to achieve broad business objectives including reduction of cost, reporting on food safety, and continuous improvement in quality. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end issue resolution while working closely with stores and field leadership to resolve concerns regarding replenishment requests, inventory levels, and other supply chain-related issues.Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in supply chain managementExperience in Food Service and/or Franchise model preferred Experience in inventory management with the ability to demonstrate understanding of shelf life, lead times, fill ratio, inventory turns, etc. Experience negotiating with multiple distributorsProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and related softwareStrong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement lifecycle, and best practicesBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferredEssential Competencies:
