Who You Are

As a member of the Lockheed Martin, Global Supply Chain, and as an individual contributor for the
Operations Engineer - Capacity & Rate Readiness (CRR)
Team, you will impact major complex procurements of different contract types and will have continued interaction with Lockheed Martin program management and Lockheed Martin, Global Supply Chain Management Leadership. You’ll need to operate autonomously and have the business acumen for interaction with the strategic supplier leadership chains.
In addition, You’ll be looked upon to help guide and mentor other members of the team with their continued learning and training.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be part of the Global Supply Chain organization (GSC) on the Capacity and Rate Readiness (CRR) team within the Supplier Performance Management organization. The primary objective of this role is to Analyze program demand data versus supplier capacity to identify areas where additional supplier capacity assessments are needed and recommend actions. You'll support the CRR team to ensure that supplier capacity and rate readiness align for multiple programs. Distribute supply base capacity assessments and questionnaires, collect data, and organize it for communication to the team, leadership, and upload to demand control databases. Our data is used in business case and funding decisions for all lines of demand, production, sustainment, mods, and developmental.
Demonstrated ability to work with data-driven recommendations and project planning, you will analyze program demand data versus supplier capacity to identify and recommend where additional supplier capacity assessments are needed. The process may require you to engage with buyers and the suppliers. Support continuous improvement activities at suppliers to improve supplier capacity.
Collect and organize data that will be used to communicate status to the team and various levels of leadership and to upload the data to demand control databases. Prepare graphical output of data using Microsoft Excel to communicate team progress and status to management.
Good collaboration and teaming skills, have the ability to formulate effective data driven recommendations, and be able to integrate with cross functional teams to achieve results. May also have brief interactions with leadership on an intermittent basis. Cross-functional tasks within the Manufacturing Rate Readiness team along with Risk Mitigation duties. Complete other related duties and assignments including documenting standard work.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Experience in supply chain, production operations, or manufacturing

• Experience performing Capacity Assessments

• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically, advanced Excel
Desired Skills:
• Experience using SCM data sources such as SAP, Supplier Intelligence Dashboard (SID), Procurement Dashboard, and EDSC tableau data tools

• Experience in supply chain, production operations, or manufacturing

• Interpret, communicate, and visualize metrics to customers and leadership in an effective manner

• Experience participating on continuous improvement teams

• Experience identifying and mitigating capacity constraints in a production environment

• Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering knowledge or experience

• Green Belt or Black Belt certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
