Clariant is currently looking for a Supply Chain Planner to support the Adsorbents and Additives business unit in Colton, CA. This position will play a critical role in achieving the strategic objectives of the Colton plant by managing procurement, inventories, CAPEX projects, and master data. This role ensures the availability of products to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and inventory risks. The Supply Chain Planner serves as a critical link between procurement, operations, vendors, and sales teams to achieve operational excellence and drive continuous improvement. This position requires a high level of independence in decision-making and the ability to balance competing priorities effectively, ensuring both short-term needs and long-term goals are met. This role is a full time, onsite opportunity. Clariant offers a competitive base salary of $81,060.10 - $92,205.86, an annual 8% bonus, PTO and more. Responsibilities

•    Manage all direct and indirect procurement requirements, including sourcing and vendor setup
•    Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely receipt of materials and services
•    Ensure vendor compliance with U.S. Government “Zero-Defect” quality flow-down requirements
•    Resolve payment issues by working closely with GBS and vendors
•    Oversee eCAR and SAP aspects of projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of milestones
•    Identify and evaluate varied sources, solicit and analyze bids, and award purchase orders to selected vendors
•    Balance product supply with customer needs while minimizing working capital
•    Manage inventory value, ensuring timely reduction of slow-moving and obsolete goods (SMOG)
•    Achieve on-time delivery (OD) targets while maintaining customer satisfaction
•    Collect and validate technical and safety data sheets
•    Initiate master data requests and raw/packaging material PAR creation
•    Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operations, vendors, and sales teams
•    Navigate internal processes and drive alignment across functions
 


 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field preferred
•    Minimum of three years in procurement, supply chain, or operations in a manufacturing environment preferred
•    Working knowledge of SAP Module MM and Master Data preferred
•    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a customer-focused mindset
