Supply Chain Planning Analyst

To provide expertise and leadership in supporting, developing and implementing SPM warehouse and Automation related processes and storage design (EWM- Extended Warehouse Management) in the EAME region. Next to providing 2nd line support in EWM and Automation systems for the EAME region, this position also includes taking the lead for any upcoming major EWM and Automation changes/implementations. This will require fast track “on the job” getting acquainted with our set processes and following up on Incident / Problem tickets. **He/she will be :** • responsible for ongoing daily business support, even during implementation and stabilisation of new projects • responsible to define the specific Business Requirements in close contact with the process owners • actively involved in the definition and set-up of SPM EWM and Automation related processes and storage solutions • responsible to validate alignment of system functionality with Business and Customer Expectations • involved in the preparation and execution of training for warehouse users You collaborate with cross-functional business team members representing Operations, Materials Management, Commercial, Transportation, Finance and Customs processes and you will team up with the SAP IT EWM Analysts and external vendors in case of the Automation systems. This includes intensive communication with geographically dispersed colleagues and consultants in the US / Bangalore / EAME / AP. Periodic travel is expected over the course of each project with possible peak travel during critical project phases. **Requirements** - Willing to work on Incident / Problem tickets, taking them to resolution point. As superusers, our team members are providing 2nd line support and need to work the issues at hand through the next level to provide solutions - Strong Business knowledge of warehouse processes, policies and procedures - Excellent communication, teamwork, initiative, organizational, analytical and project management skills. - Preferably functional or technical experience with SPM-EWM, CRM or SAP SD, MM and or WM modules - Very good knowledge of English **Skill Descriptors** Business Process Improvement: Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities. Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products. Level Working Knowledge: • Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity. • Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance. • Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system. • Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks. • Works with logistics in a domestic environment. Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes. Level Extensive Experience: • Manages supply chain finance activities and measurements of effectiveness. • Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain. • Monitors the complete supply chain management process. • Consults on supply chain network design projects or processes. • Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches. • Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.
