Earthmoving Division has an exciting career opportunity for you as a Supply Chain Planning Engineer within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence team. As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer within the SC CoE, you will lead efforts aimed at driving agility, flexibility, and visibility across the entire network, to deliver products and services to our customers with the highest safety, quality, velocity, and world competitive cost. In addition, this role will deliver results related to product distribution, product availability, and late product differentiation through the business cycles. This role engages with a diverse, geographically dispersed team of professionals.
 

What You Will Do:

Implement distribution solutions in alignment with the product strategyManage the deployment of projects centered around OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) as applicableDevelop and coordinate the projects from strategy to execution regarding product distributionWork with Global Transportation and Logistics teams to implement transportation and logistics solutions that impact product manufacturing, quality, cost, and availability.Lead collaboration and communication across multiple business division functions, which may include implementing changes to product value add and assemblyStudy and develop EPC ordering strategies, scenarios, and solutions for material and machines to support the outbound distribution strategy.Support the EPC with Mach1/CMOPS ordering process and coordinate resolution.

What You Will Bring (Skills & Experiences):

Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processesProject Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory / Value Chain Management or EngineeringCPS, Six Sigma Black Belt or project management experiencePrevious experience with or exposure to Earthmoving productsExperience as a strong collaborator including interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive common value chain processes across multiple facilities within a product.Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problemsCaterpillar Product knowledge Mach1 & CMOPS working knowledge with capability to expand depth

This role will be based in Peoria, IL, with ~30% travelDomestic Relocation is offered for those who qualifyVisa Sponsorship will not be offered

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
