Supply Chain Residential Intern

Team or Function Overview  GAF is looking for a Supply Chain Planning Intern. The ideal candidate for this role is majoring in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business. The intern would be responsible for joining the Residential Supply Planning team and working to enhance planning systems and processes that ultimately bring value to the customer as well as supporting GAF’s profitability.  The Supply Chain Planning internship will have split responsibilities in the day-to-day planning process which keeps the business operational, as well as project based assignments to bring efficiency and service improvements to the operation.

Essential Duties
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Ownership of day-to-day planning responsibilities for assigned areas of the business.  May be at varying levels of the business, including

manufacturing plant

distribution location

customer segment

sales geography

transportation lane

 Process Improvements to assigned Supply Planning function(s).  May be relating to:

Sales & Operations Planning

Raw Material Planning

Demand Planning

Retail Replenishment Planning

Engagement and integration with all areas within the Supply Chain as well as other departments within the company to bring projects and assignments to successful implementation and adoption

Under This Roof, We Require  

Excellent communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team.  The successful candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and May 2025. 

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship now and in the future.

All GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions.  Candidates are expected to work 37.5 hours per week over the summer. Transportation, F-1 and HB-1 visa sponsorship will not be provided in association with these positions.
