Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal/SR Principal Supply Chain Small Business Liaison to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position may be located in Redondo Beach, California or Melbourne, Florida.
About this Role:
Responsible for processes and activities within Global Supplier Diversity Programs (GSDP) including regulatory compliance, systems and technology, data analytics and performance, and supply base diversity. Manages, develops and supports Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector strategic direction with tactical execution of governance (policy, procedure, processes, etc.), priorities, initiatives and related activities. Interfaces and supports procurement buyers and subcontracts managers, GSC leadership and Corporate/Sector leadership. Possesses strong communication skills, analytic and data-driven and creative problem-solving abilities. Able to work in fast-paced environment, balance competing priorities and strives for continuous improvement and personal development.
Essential Function:
Outstanding analytical and communication skills are essential.
Review, prepare and monitor Small Business Subcontracting Plans.
Prepare and analyze monthly metric reporting.
Conduct annual and periodic Global Supplier Diversity training for AS sector Contract Administrators, Buyers/SCA and others, as required by statutory requirements.
Prepare semi-annual government ISRs/SF294s SSRs/SF295s (and other reports, as required) with timely reporting
Assist in compliance reviews with Defense Contract Management Agency and Small Business Administration.
Assist current and new suppliers with doing business with Northrop Grumman, problem-solving, submitting data.
Support GSDPs including act as AS sector representative for various local and regional trade conferences; participate in trade shows, conferences and meetings as required.
Procurement experience and/or accounting background preferred.
This position may be filled at a level 3 or level 4.
Basic Qualifications (level 3):
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in business or supply chain OR a master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in business or supply chain OR a minimum of 9 years’ experience in business or supply chain may be considered in lieu of a degree
Knowledge of small business rules related to small business utilization
Professional relationship development with management, vendors, subcontractors, and customers
Strong data analytics and reporting
Excellent working knowledge of MS Suite Applications
Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Basic Qualifications (level 4):
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in business or supply chain OR a master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in business or supply chain OR a minimum of 12 years’ experience in business or supply chain may be considered in lieu of a degree
Knowledge of small business rules related to small business utilization
Professional relationship development with management, vendors, subcontractors, and customers
Strong data analytics and reporting
Excellent working knowledge of MS Suite Applications
Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
