Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist ensures efficient operations by managing procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier relationships. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, forecasting, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation. This role offers the chance to optimize supply chain processes and drive organizational success in a dynamic environment.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational objectives. Forecast future demand to ensure supply availability.Procurement and Sourcing: Identify and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure suppliers meet quality standards.Inventory Management and Control: Determine optimal inventory levels, monitor stock, and track inventory in real-time.Logistics and Transportation: Manage the transport of goods, select transport options, negotiate contracts with carriers, and manage shipping schedules.Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable, timely, and quality supplies.Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential supply chain risks, implementing measures to mitigate them.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor performance across the supply chain and report on key metrics.Essential Skills2+ years of recent experience in supply chain, procurement, and logistics exposureStrong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and logisticsProficient in supply chain software (SAP)Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholdersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsMaterial Requirement Planning is a big plusStart-up experience preferred (not looking for OEM experience)2+ years of recent supply chain lead/leadership experienceExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsHands-on approach, not a delegating role; need to be able to talk through past experience as it relates to hands-on workPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
