DT Professional Services is seeking an entry level Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Norco, CA! You will analyze and oversee the organization of the supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and, when necessary, discontinuation. The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for overseeing the life cycle of a product, including purchase, distribution, internal allotment, release and final clearance of resources. You will help streamline operations and identify the most efficient way to use the department’s resources to achieve its goals. There is 15% travel annually associated with this position.
Responsibilities:Communicates with customers and/or support staff to understand customer’s needs and to ensure those needs are metCoordinates availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished productsCreates and/or deploys project management tools and systems; implements plans, schedules, and compliance metricsCollects or oversees the collection of product and project performance data; analyzes data for further product development and improvementVerify goods reach their destination in a timely mannerDevelop forecasting plan to maintain sufficient inventoryDiscover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedulesIdentifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency; recommends improvementsPrepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and resultsCollaborate with IT and Engineering professionals to implement effective systemsPerforms other related duties, as requiredBasic Qualifications:An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required (or the ability to reinstate if active within the past 24 months)Must be able to pass a background check5 years related experience requiredMust be able to accommodate 15% travel annuallyExtensive knowledge of acquisitions and distributionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases and ERP systemsFamiliarity with supply chain processes, to include but not limited to inventory and warehouse managementStrong attention to detailAbility to follow instructionsPreferred Qualifications:Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related fieldThe compensation range for this position: $28.00 an hour.
