OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
The BioLife Supply Chain Specialist is responsible to coordinate shipping logistics for all U.S. BioLife plasma centers, plant deliveries and prepare various shipment release reports for Finance and other cross-functional teams. Establish and maintain relationships with BioLife & 3PP plasma centers, delivery plants, and 3PL vendors. Responsible for resolving system issues in collaboration with IT Support, under minimal supervision. Interpersonal and problem-solving skills, ability to gather information from different departments to recommend ways of improving supply chain efficiencies using ERP systems and processes. Responsible for change management, to ensure successful adoption of new processes and maximize utilization of integrated systems. Through data mining, develop and maintain Supply Chain KPIs and share it with management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Coordinate weekly shipping logistics for each center and execute shipment releases. Determine shipment sizes based on delivery targets, number of pallets and boat/truck capacity constraints.Track all plasma at off- site storage locations.Track specialty plasma shipments and inventory at centers and off-site storage. Coordinate shipping logistics for specialty plasma based on delivery targets and/or contract commitments.Schedule ocean container demands with ocean carrier for shipments.Produce customs documents for all ocean shipments.Generate required documentation for shipments to Vienna.Communicate/coordinate plasma shipments with current transportation company and with the plasma centers.Open and manage events in the GEMS system.Develop understanding of all relevant Supply Chain processes (SOP’s) to manage day-to-day activities.Review and maintain all supply chain SOPsDrive continuous improvement: streamline manual processes through innovative automated solutions and eliminate/reduce reliance on MS excelOther projects and cross-functional work as assignedDIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

$84,000.00 - $132,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salaryoffered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
