Supply Chain Specialist (DRP Liquid Planner)

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Specialist (DRP Liquid Planner) to join us at our facility in Asturias, Spain.

The DRP Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) process to ensure timely product availability in our Axalta Intercompany Warehouses, maximizing the service level, without jeopardizing stock availability in the complete network, minimizing costs and inventory levels. This role is crucial for optimizing inventory flow and ensuring efficient and effective distribution from the main warehouses and manufacturing sites to the different stock locations.

Key responsibilities:

Product Replenishment: Systematically replenish products across the Axalta network based on demand, safety stocks, and lead times, aligning with Axalta's Supply Chain strategy.Demand Analysis: Monitor daily demand fluctuations, identify abnormalities, collaborate with planning teams to address root causes, and stabilize the supply signal.Inventory Management: Partner with supply chain management to balance inventory levels and transportation costs, while addressing Non-Good Short-Term materials and coordinating actions like rework or redeployment. Support product lifecycle transitions, including phase-in/phase-out inventory strategies and redeployment during phase-out periods.Orders Handling: Manage stock transfer orders, coordinate transportation, and ensure timely delivery to internal warehouses while addressing exceptions and shortages.Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in distribution processes, focusing on cost reduction, service level enhancement, and operational efficiency.Performance Reporting: Generate reports and leverage analytics to monitor KPIs, support strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison with warehouses, ensuring seamless communication and providing necessary updates on replenishments.

Key requirements:

Educational Background: University degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, or a related field is preferred.Skills and Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills required); knowledge of SAP (Material Management) or advanced planning systems is an advantage.Experience and Knowledge: Ideally 2-5 years of experience in supply chain roles, with understanding of demand planning, logistics, and inventory management best practices, is a plus.Key Competencies: Strong analytical, prioritization, problem-solving abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.Collaboration and Communication: Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage large datasets for quantitative analysis.
