Job Description Summary:

Opportunity for an Intern candidate to work in a business environment and participate in the various stages of material planning, production, and property management to gain an understanding of the processes and procedures used in maintaining compliance with government regulations. A successful candidate will thrive working cross-functionally as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
• Support Draper’s material inventory management process as related to inventory control and production planning
• Provide analytical and material planner support throughout the various production stages to include purchasing, expediting, managing the kitting for assembly, along with generation of the assembly order data pack
• Assist with inventory control, data monitoring and cycle counts as well as analyzing obsolete and excess inventory
• Production planning and analyzing material availability for assembly orders
• Physical inventory of government and Draper owned equipment
• Record creation and physical Identification/tagging of equipment
• Movement tracking, reports, and metrics development

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
• Co-op will rotate working between multiple groups within Department to ensure a base knowledge set is experienced for comprehensive professional development.
• Provide assistance to a team, including, but not limited to, clerical duties, processing paperwork, customer service or performing data entry.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Program Requirements
• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program.
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Skills/Abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
 
There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability.
This position can be partially hybrid remote, however being in the office, when appropriate, is an important part of this experience.
