Supply Chain Team Lead

As a Supply Chain Team Lead on the Instrument Logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the multifaceted activities within the department. The activities performed are in direct support of our production and service departments for all instruments supported within the production process. Usage of SAP for the multiple transaction’s used in the receiving process, to include domestic and international receipts, movement of material and instruments within the Idexx facility. You will assign work assignments as required to ensure the department has the built-in flexibility to meet the ever-changing workload. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across several key functional areas and will make a difference by evaluating existing processes for efficiencies and improvements.   

What you can expect in this role:

• You will use SAP as the main tool/system to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

• You will communicate/collaborate routinely with supply chain partners, production leadership, engineering and

   quality groups to ensure products meet quality specifications.

• You will provide direction, knowledge and training to team members in support of the daily activities.

• You will engage in and implement LEAN activities to insure optimization of all activities within your area of work.

You will Identify, troubleshoot, recommend solutions, and assist to resolve process problems.

• You will develop and grow strong, mutually-beneficial relationships with internal partners and customers.
• You understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
• Adhere to all appropriate ISO 9000 quality standards and work instructions.
• Develop, continually learn, grow and strengthen individual capabilities, staying current with best practices.



What you will need to succeed:

• You possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• You have a strong attention to detail. 

• You have the ability to identify gaps or improvement opportunities with a desire to implement change.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to lead small groups.
• You have a solid working knowledge of SAP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experienced in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).

• A strong focus on process, continuous improvement, and quantitative analysis.
