Northrop Grumman’s Defense Sector is looking for a Supply Chain Tech Coordinator 3 to support and assist activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. They will provide technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of the industry standard supply chain business process areas primarily Supply Chain Manufacturing and Supply Chain Logistics, as well as Supply Chain Business Operations. This employee is primarily responsible for the manual movement, shipping and receiving of materials.

This individual will support Advanced Weapons such as AARGM and SiAW programs. The AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile) is a supersonic, air- launched tactical missile system.  AARGM is the most advanced system for pilots against today’s modern surface-to-air threats.  This position will be 100% full time on site at our Northridge, Ca location.  Relocation may be available but not guaranteed.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Research status of material critical to production schedule and expedite into stockManages chemicals from start to finish, including streamlining process upon delivery, proper labeling, safety paperwork document storage, placement into correct location on production floor, and updating systematically in Excel, Costpoint system and shared fileIdentifies, red-tags, records, and dispose of expired materialEnsures adequate supply of consumable material on hand by monitoring current inventory levels and expiration datesInterfaces with various supply chain and engineering teams (procurement, subcontracts, material program management, production control, quality, mission assurance, etc.) to direct appropriate movement of materialMaterial metrics: tracks and categorizes topics that occur within the programs, in addition to conducting time studies.Creates Status Report for material control organization, including main bulletin board, space for recurring items, and special projects. Develops or update functional or operational manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational policy.Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, material, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.Develops requisitions for and manages records of material, components, repair parts and related manuals.Tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.Documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life cycle of product.Provides logistic assistance to floor personnel dailyDetermines course of action to maintain proper inventory levels of Ground Support Equipment’s and etc.Reviews production schedule and coordinate logistics support to ensure on time delivery of various equipment to the floorInventories all locations of program material, update data base on Costpoint.Sorts and sustains all cabinets, racks, shelves and maintain recordsFacilitates and maintains inventory and rotation of Shelf-Life MaterialCoordinates transportation of material between various sites and locations

Basic Qualifications:

-High school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in logistics support, -shipping/receiving, manufacturing shop floor, warehousing, and/or inventory control

-Ability to obtain a forklift certification

-Ability to lift 25 lbs. and walk or stand for extended periods of time

-Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to sort, filter and navigate through data, insert conditional formatting, common formulas to conduct necessary analysis of inventory

-Active Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Cognos, CostPoint, and advanced Excel formulas (index match, offset, indirect, etc.)

-Experience using a forklift/reach lift/pallet jack

-Prior experience using Costpoint/MES

-Hazmat or chemical handling experience

-NGC manufacturing shop floor experience

-Ability to work overtime as needed to support the business

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
