Job Responsibilities
35%| Accept supplies and equipment daily from carriers, verifying condition while reporting any damaged goods of discrepancies to the carrier and purchasing agent. Receive purchase order items into Lawson. Deliver all received supplies and equipment to the end user the same day it arrives, documenting delivery via signature on log or hand-held scanner. Attach property tags to all capital equipment within 24 hours of receipt of goods. Arrange shipment of all outbound freight within 1 business day unless otherwise instructed. Record department account number on all outbound shipment air bills for accurate accounting. Process out-going mail and FedEx shipments
35%| Pull and deliver supply requests to designated areas throughout the hospital. Assist with conducting weekly cycle counts along with maintaining adequate stock levels. Restock supplies as needed and as they are received from vendors.
10%| Sort and deliver all incoming shipments. Process out-going mail and FedEx shipments
10% Promote teamwork, by nurturing relationships with others. Strong orientation towards service excellence, utilize brand platform for consistent deployment of services. Utilize lean or six sigma principles to eliminate waste and perfect processes. Demonstrates good work ethic by being to work at scheduled time with minimal unexcused absences. Appropriately greet all visitors to the department and assist them as needed.
10%| Knows individual and departmental role during any emergency (disaster, fire, bomb threat, etc.). Know location of nearest fire extinguisher and pull station. Know the routes for evacuation if necessary. Know how to obtain SDS (Safety Data Sheet) if needed. Utilize appropriate PPE if warranted. Know who to contact to report any unsafe condition, faulty equipment, and injure to self or others. Maintain warehouse and dock in an organized and clean fashion according to infection control standards (all boxes off the floor and no closer than 18’’ to a sprinkler head.)
