Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Clerk is responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area at the direction of the supply chain management.

Performs procurement activities for assigned procedural areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures. Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors (CRD) for all newly requested items prior to placing an order.

Supply chain clerks should be in appropriate business attire prior to the start of the scheduled shift.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Excellent customer service skills are required.Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

Supply Chain experience preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

Per Diem, as needed

Essential Functions:

Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives. Conducts supply chain activities for assigned areas. Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed.Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.Attends and complies with all RWJBH and facility training. Acts as a subject-matter expert in assigned areas. Attends daily meetings and huddles. Has working knowledge of all the equipment used in the supply chain department.Performs delegated tasks and special projects as assigned.
