Foot Locker is seeking motivated interns to join our Supply Chain Transportation team in Junction City, Kansas. The Supply Chain team is a high functioning team with expertise in inventory management, logistics, and cross functional partnerships that ensures the right products reach the right places at the right time, driving customer satisfaction and business growth. The SC Transportation Internship will provide interns with the opportunity to partner with leadership to help manage and streamline the day-to-day operations of the Foot Locker Supply Chain. Interns will gain hands-on experience addresing both business and customer needs while honing essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving and effective communication. Responsibilities Intern program working out of Foot Locker’s Junction City, KS Distribution Center. Interns will work closely with team members and leaders to develop an understanding of how Foot Locker’s Supply Chain operates. Support the execution of daily operations by learning different roles and responsibilities within the supply chain Learn how to problem solve, lead and motivate a team, conduct real-time observations, and drive results. Taking initiative to seeking out opportunities for growth and development; continuously learn throughout the internship experience Demonstrate a willingness to take risks; step out of your comfort zone and take on new assignments Foster an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture Gain an understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen Working with supply chain leaders each day to set goals and expectations Maintaining a high standard of quality/accuracy through standardization of processes while also ensuring employee accountability Tracking various KPI’s to identify gaps, and drive actions in order to maintain consistent performance Provide new ideas and recommend solutions for business or team opportunities Data entry, reporting, and conducting business analysis Working with various supply chain systems All other duties as assigned Qualifications Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required to sit (stationary position) at a computer workstation and/or desk for a full shift. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required communicate using various methods. Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and moving weights of 5-50lbs occasionally. Qualifications: To qualify for an internship with Foot Locker, individuals must: Undergraduate (Rising Junior or Rising Senior) or graduate business student pursuing a Supply Chain, Logistics or similarly related field. Solid analytical skills and self-motivated. Effective communication skills for all levels of the organization Ability to work cross-functionally Willingness to learn with hands-on experience Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
