Supply Flow Operations Planner 

     

Purpose:

The Supply Flow Ops Planner purchases semi-finished and finished goods from internal and external suppliers to contract terms, supporting inventory policy and customer service/KPI goals and objectives. The position follows the level master production schedule to effectively support customer demand and meet the needs & goals of the division.

The Supply Flow Ops Planner is responsible for communication and the management of supplier delivery status to ensure targeted raw material, components and finished goods inventory levels are maintained. The individual is also responsible for the deployment of Finished Goods from contract manufacturers to distribution centers. The Supply Flow Ops Planner is responsible for managing supplier relationships for suppliers where a relationship manager is not assigned which includes monthly/quarterly Supplier Scorecard reviews and support of risk assessments and capacity planning at each assigned supplier. The role is the focal point between Product Supply, external manufacturing, and Project Management. The role manages the Supply Planning activities for assigned brands to optimize SC resources while delivering superior customer service and supporting sales targets.

 

The role embraces Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles and practices and follows the VACC approach to leadership (being a visionary, architect, catalyst, and coach). The role actively evolves the operating model and fosters successful adoption of DSO.

Key Tasks:

Converts Production / Inventory requirements into purchase orders with suppliers utilizing the procurement process and ensuring schedule compliance by continued communication with suppliers as delivery dates approachConduct SAP APO based weekly Supply Network Planning including review of alerts, supply plan, inventory projections, and green graph review per Supply Chain Strategy in support of increased customer service, reduced inventories and maximum efficiency for operationsMonitor and issue purchase order, delivery date and quantity changes as necessary Monitor and communicate supplier delivery, price and quality performance and drive corrective action as requiredEnsures releases of planned production orders for final plan to Detail Scheduler (APO SNP to APO PP/DS) as well as monitoring supply plan to shifting trends through APO alert monitoring and demonstrates a high degree of control over dependent demands and predecessor / successor relationships within finished good plansResponsible for master data maintenance and clean-up of obsolete and or incorrect POs in the systemDevelop procurement plan considering capacity constraints (if applicable) including working with Supply Manager in establishment of safety stock levels and management of inventory obsolescence.Manages Supplier Relationships where relationship manager is not assigned - Acts as communication focal point for all supply related topics within PS.Respond to supply issues and coordinate communications with quality and engineering groupsMaintain cost standards and initiate cost improvements, supply contracts, etc.Coordinate product + process changes at the supplier levelProactively identifies and resolves capacity constraints as needed for assigned manufacturing locations and proactively highlights and communicates potential product supply risksProactively communicates significant demand and supply changes to the supply center(s)Collaborate with Supply and Pipeline Manager to resolve supply issues and constraints, including ad hoc analysis as needed.Participate on project teams to fully support successful new product launches, promotions, and manage material changes to ensure launch timelines and quantity requirements are well aligned with launch plan.Execute deployment of finished goods to distribution centers along with support inbound prioritizationManage DC forecast split accuracy and ensure inventory is balanced across DC network Process champion for several standard operating procedures related to job functions.

 

 

 

Qualification & Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, technical discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant supply chain experience or a Master's Degree with 2 years' relevant supply chain experienceExperience in a Pharmaceutical, Consumer Products or regulated industry background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting, and Logistics. Good communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, customer focus and negotiation skills required. Computer skills/ability to work with various software packages, e.g., Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead projects, work as a team player and self-starter Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrixed organizationAffinity for servant leadership, situational awareness, continual improvement and transparencyLeading with purpose, driving inclusion, respecting differences, and showing up as authentic best self.English & Spanish: Advance
