This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.  

The Supply Management Specialist works closely with facility Business office staff, Operations Finance, Operations leaders and Purchasing staff to evaluate and improve procurement strategies and manage procurement activities for facilities within their assigned business unit.  Manages the sourcing and commitment of company funds for the purchase of goods and services in accordance with corporate guidelines, policies and procedures and best practices. Develops supply budget performance goals for each customer type, and uses KPI's to report progress or risk.   Manages all supply management education needs and collaborates with facility personnel, internal customers, Operations teams and Purchasing department staff to encourage partner contract and company purchasing policy compliance.

Evaluates and improves procurement practices and processes of the facilities within the assigned business unit to ensure optimal management of goods and services needs.Evaluates and improves procurement practices and processes of the facilities within the assigned business unit to ensure optimal management of goods and services needs.Identifies and implements training tools to ensure purchasing policy compliance, standardized use of ERP systems, and best in class procurement practices.Administers monthly audit of partner contractual obligations and weekly compliance reviews of purchasing history and reports any variances to management for further review. Collaborates with DBI leader to identify and establish relationships with small, diverse businesses and local vendors for each facility to achieve contractual sourcing objectives.  Identifies potential suppliers of goods and services to meet CoreCivic standards and partner contractual obligations. Reviews monthly reporting to identify cost savings opportunities, proactively manages supply line budget performance and reports purchasing policy compliance by facility, by division and by business unit.  Reports any variances to management.Attends divisional and business unit meetings to report supply line budget concerns, new supplier partnerships, global and local supply chain concerns, technology updates, and other relevant supply management information.Oversees and supports special facility projects and requirements including but not limited to; facility activations, facility deactivations, special events, and unforeseen acts of nature.Approves fixed asset purchases through eProcurement system management.Procures lines of goods and services requisitioned by FSC departments, and BusinessUnit and Facility Management using cost efficient purchasing techniques, based on sound practices and                   in compliance with contractual agreements.Works closely with Purchasing Management, agencies, using departments, and facility staff, to promote small and diverse business participation.Conducts quarterly reviews of spend by category to standardize supplies and equipment where possible, reducing variations, decreasing the number of like items, and optimizing savings across all business units.Domestic U.S. travel may be required. Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or other acceptable related field is required.  Four years of diverse experience in strategic and operational purchasing is required.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, up to four years.  C.P.M, APP, CPPO and/or CPSM certification is preferred.  Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procurement practices required.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and eProcurement applications is required.  Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age. A valid driver's license is required.
