Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Support Team (LST) of NAVSUP FLC SD GF. Responsibilities You will manage, plan, organize and administer Class I Supply (Subsistence) operations in support of the LCS sea frame. You will provide a variety of daily routine Class I (subsistence) records management duties involving all aspects of management of subsistence provisions. You will ensure adequately sustained subsistence operations onboard LCS units by forecasting and planning for Class I subsistence requirements. You will interface between the Fleet and vendors to resolve all Class I material issues from the time of order inception until delivery. You will attend meetings with LCS Team Lead, DLA Troop Support, prime vendor and customers to review procedures or resolve discrepancies in the subsistence process. You will assist the Logistics Support Team Food Service Officer by performing duties related to the overall subsistence prime vendor initiative. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-2003-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate a practical knowledge of basic and commonly applied subsistence procurement and records keeping processes and procedures - including automated supply systems such as Subsistence Total Order & Receipt Electronic System - Web (STORES - WEB), Food Service Management (FSM), and MicroSoft Office - to analyze and resolve day to day operational problems and ensure ships subsistence requirements are met. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Processing Class I subsistence orders, receipts, cancellations, returns, redistribution of stock, coordinating deliveries, obtaining items not in stock, catalog research, records keeping, inventory, and/or customer contact for assigned ships; 2) Utilizing automated Supply Management Information systems and procedures to update customer profiles, orders and receipts; ensure the integrity of Subsistence Prime Vendor records; and extract, review, and disseminate subsistence reports; 3) Interfacings between the Fleet, Logistics Support Representatives and Prime Vendors to resolve all Class I subsistence material issues from the time of order inception until delivery; and for 4) Validating processes, research discrepancies, follow up on outstanding contracts and due-in receipts, and scheduling food deliveries to LCS units Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
