Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for assigned brands, including the development and maintenance of the master production schedule, rough-cut capacity plan, and inventory strategy. The role involves managing supply planning for product transitions with minimal waste and new product launches, as well as serving as the communication focal point between Product Supply and internal customers. Additionally, the role includes managing a portfolio of strategic brands with a focus on driving continuous improvement, risk management, systems enhancements, and innovation within the assigned brands.

 

The role embraces Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles and practices and follows the VACC approach to leadership (being a visionary, architect, catalyst, and coach). The role actively evolves the operating model and fosters successful adoption of DSO.

Key Tasks:

Focal point of contact for Bayer Canada and suppliers/supply centers for the E2E triangulated supply of finished goods and bulk into Canada Exception based management of supply chain issues, direction and prioritization of the supply chain, all supply related topics within Supply Chain Management as it relates to customer service, inventory level performance and waste plus a proactive, identification, prioritization and resolution of supply chain risks and opportunities.Manages the weekly supply planning activity for assigned brands in creation of long range master schedule which optimizes SC resources, while delivering superior customer service and supporting the delivery of sales targets, operating with integrated planning mindset and collaborates with demand planning, marketing and sales to develop scenario planning tools to proactively address supply risk. Manages the inventory strategy for assigned brands, maintains safety stock parameters, and drives continuous improvement strategies to optimize stock levels across network. performs analysis on statistical safety stock levels, portfolio segmentation, lead time reduction initiatives and partners with supply centers on material buffering tacticsManaging obsolescence through the monitoring of inventory depletion on transitioning materials along with alternate channel opportunities for stranded excess FG inventory and present information in operations and executive demand review meetingsCollaborates with Demand Planning to convert forecast into production/inventory requirements for internal and external suppliers. Monitoring and assessment of gross or net sales demand from DP and from other Bayer affiliates and external customers receiving from site of responsibility (Management of SAP APO DP/SNP in consideration of inventory targets and master data settings); Creation and Management of Customer Sales Orders, Purchase Requisitions and Intercompany Purchase OrdersMonitoring and achievement of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (e.g. Case Fill Rate, OTIF, potential lost sales, Forecast Accuracy/Bias, Inventory Days of Supply and write off)Provides planning oversight/guidance to strategic initiatives and commercial innovation including coordination of change requests, new product introductions, packaging & product eliminations changes from other sites affecting Canada affiliate, Check applicability of requirements from GMP/GXP, ICS, Medical Device, import permits, legal Requirements, Hazardous Goods and Environment Health and Safety regulations and ensure that these are followed. Formulation changes, Product discontinuations, Manufacturing Site Transfers,Acts as change coordinator for NPIs, TL s, and Product eliminations (products produced at Myerstown plant) (SYNAPS, PROMAT, LOCMAT)Responsible for attending/co-leading North America/Global SWAT meetings and collaborates with QA teams on product releases, tracks and maintains SCM KPIProvides direction and support to all levels of the supply chain, maintains relevant SAP master data, attends/actively participates in relevant S&OP business meetingsWorks closely with customer service and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock deployment strategies and efficient delivery of case fill to our customers.

 

 

Qualification & Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or master's degree with multi-functional experience in Manufacturing, External Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business Planning, and Operational Excellence/LEAN.  Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ experience, or master’s degree and 4 years’ experienceExperience in planning, forecasting, and external manufacturing related experience within the Consumer Product, Consumer Health, CPG or OTC industry  Experience with SAP/APO/OMP preferredStrong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with internal and external business partners/customers. Proven results with building strong customer relationships and delivering customer centric solutions. Ability to gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticityGreen Belt or understanding of lean/six sigma methodology preferredDemonstrated target and performance driven attitude with successful track record leading projects and teams is requiredAffinity for servant leadership, situational awareness, continual improvement and transparencyLeading with purpose, driving inclusion, respecting differences, and showing up as authentic best self.English & Spanish : Advance
