We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Planner to join our FGX team. This role is based in London, UK.
The Supply Planner is responsible for the flow of inventory, ensuring the fulfillment of customer orders and implementation of new item projects. Reviewing inventory levels for styles between customers, the Supply Planner will schedule manufacturing orders to move inventory from one SKU to another.
Responsibilities of the role:
Identify and resolve supply exceptions by expediting purchase orders, re-allocating existing inventory and establishing safety stock parameters.
Manage inventory levels by utilizing existing inventory to offset new purchases.
Make purchase decisions based on target inventory levels, order fill rates and demand variables.
Work closely with the Company Distribution Center and Customer Service teams to ensure target order fill rates are being met for daily customer orders and processed timely.
Monitor inbound purchase orders and inventory movements in order to ensure the timely delivery and availability of product to meet service level requirements.
Work closely with inbound logistics team and freight forwarder to track shipments from suppliers.
Maintain PO status in the system to reflect the inbound status of the purchase order.
Manage new program introductions from purchase through receipt utilizing tracking files and working closely with commercial on timing requirements.
Maintain project orders within ERP to ensure full visibility to demand for accurate planning.
Utilize system reports to provide inventory information to commercial team for selling opportunities.
Ensure product arrives to meet customer dates and specifications.
Skills, experience and behavioural attributes expected for the role:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (Supply Chain or Operations).
Ideally a first experience in a business setting.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers across all levels of an organization.
Proficient with MS Office programs with good Excel knowledge.
Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams.
Excellent communication skills.
