What you will do:
The Supply Planner is responsible for managing the supply planning process by efficiently converting the global demand requirements into an attainable supply plan for products processed by the Mahwah, NJ Plant. This individual could also be responsible for creating a forecast/buy plan for purchased products including instrumentation and raw materials.
The Supply Planner will serve as the main point of contact for all manufacturing planning activities related to the demand of a specific Production Cell or Purchasing Team. This role will also be responsible for leading & improving the supply planning efforts in collaboration with business partners such as operations, engineering, sourcing, IBP, AO and quality.
In addition, the Supply Planner will support major supply chain process improvement efforts, such as MRP implementation, inventory optimization, and building supply and inventory management business analytics models.
Additional responsibilities:
Develop monthly requirements to derive future business resource requirements for production capabilitiesProvide reliable and accurate forecasts to cross-functional teams to increase visibility of requirementsCollaborate with business partners and lead efforts to address demand-supply gaps and plans to close the gapsSuccessfully lead cross-functional teams in monthly supply planning working sessions and supply reviews of supply planning processes. Ensure the supply plan is collected and approved by the required business leadersWork with financial leaders to update the financial forecasts per the required scheduled cadenceAssure 100% alignment with approved supply plan by demonstrating thought leadership, creativity in solving problems and the ability to appropriately communicate and escalate issues as neededImprove the supply planning quality by effectively analyzing sources of supply volatility and recommending appropriate action plansSupport execution for new product launches and end of life phases as it relates to the supply planning functionResponsible for achieving and improving both service level and supply attainment metricsAll Supply Planning system core master-data is maintained to enable focus on real supply issuesKPIs for the role will be Supply Plan Attainment, Safety Stock Health, Capacity Utilization, Back Order, Lead Time, Product Availability or Service Level.Responsible for root causing performance issues and providing recommendation to Supply Planning Manager /leader on how to mitigate and sustain.What you need:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent 5 plus years of scheduling experience, preferably in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management or related2+ years of planning and/or manufacturing/production planning experience required
Preferred Skills:
