The COP Purchasing Manager is responsible for all facets of Product Procurement, the management of Divisional inventory assets, and maintaining the staffing required fulfilling these responsibilities.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nMeet established goals for Order Fill measured by daily lost sales.\nEstablish and track the performance of each associate in Purchasing\n\n\nResponsible for the coaching and development of COP team across multiple markets promoting and providing business solutions including providing consulting expertise on the key product considerations\n\n\nMeet established Inventory level requirements measured by average monthly inventory as a percent to cost of goods sold.\nCreate purchasing benchmarks and monitor category performance to meet or exceed KPI objectives as set by Category Management. Ensure activities are in accordance with defined company standards and guidelines. Execute supplier performance reviews\nManage SKU count measured by total SKU’s, Aged Inventory, and slow-moving items.\nManage cost of goods through vendor management, opportunity buys, commodity purchases, and cost of freight.\nResponsible for recruiting, training, recognition, and discipline for department, measured by turnover ratio and tenure.\nSupport COP initiatives for Gold Canyon Meat Co. and Broadline branches\n\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n\n
Qualifications:
\n\n\nBachelor’s Degree or 5 or more years of experience in Supply Chain with a focus on Demand disciplines for at least 3 years.\nBackground in data management, modeling, and scenario planning\nExperience with Demand Planning software (ie: ForecastPro, Logility, Clarity) a plus.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which is generally limited to weekdays but may be subject to evenings or weekends due to project or department needs.\nMust be able to travel for annual events\nExtensive experience with purchasing management systems, inventory control processes, implementation, and management.\nBroadline Purchasing experience preferred, and/or background in highly perishable product procurement\nStrong verbal/written communication skills.\nExperience with contract negotiation\nStrong team approach to management and ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines\nStrong commitment and established track record of processes documentation and improvement.\n\n
