Supply Room Clerk
Shaw Industries is looking for a Supply Room Clerk to test LVT and SPC products for quality and conformance to requirements as well as provide quality support to the plant Quality Manager. Organize testing and perform assigned methods in areas of responsibility.

Prepare samples for quality testing using a saw and/or cutting dies and automatic punch. Accurately label each sample. Perform testing using lab equipment and quality tools.

Enter test results into the corresponding spreadsheets/computer systems. Assists QC management with daily job functions or special projects. Assists with test method development. Assists with new product introduction and reviews. Verifies calibration on all measurement equipment. Responsible for disposition and notification of non-conforming product that fails testing. Responsible for quality records and quality system audits. Keep track of all product parameters and specifications. Assess the condition of stored material and products. Provide feedback to the Process Coordinators, Department associates, and Quality department to stop off-quality. Train new lab personnel in all quality lab procedures, as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to sit and stand intermittently for a 12 hour shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
Ability to withstand exposure to changes in temperature and humidity.
Must be able to work in small areas using upper and lower body twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching positions when performing quality checks.
Advanced computer skills.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
Must be able to work required overtime.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work from written instructions and diagrams.
Must be able to pass a visual color test.
High School Diploma/GED
Must have strong organizational skills
Must have excellent problem-solving skills with physical testing equipment.
Must be able to operate a lift truck if needed.
Must be able to read, comprehend and analyze data.
Must be familiar with Microsoft products.
Must be able to participate in improvement teams.
Training Requirements
Train in the quality lab to perform various testing required for quality. Must comply with all OSHA, SAFE, SMS, and plant specific rules and regulations.
