Supply Specialist II

**Overview**
The Supply Specialist II will perform tasks related toreceiving, distribution and inventory management within the healthcare industry.
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsibilities depend on assigned level (I, II) and hospital needs
+ Works with the Receiving & other Shift Supervisors/Managers, Inventory Control Analysts and Customer Service Specialists with requests for priority services and to report issues
+ Must be detail, action, and results oriented
+ Must demonstrate mature judgment in managing responsibilities
+ Requires specialized expertise in materials distribution and/or logistics processes,methods, and skills related to inventory management
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Discuss issues with inventory analysts, storeroom supervisors, floor supervisors and other supply chain and customer leadership, as necessary, and work with these staff to develop solutions to issues
+ Provide training and guidance for all levels of Supply Specialists, as assigned. Participate in continuous process improvement projects as directed by the Shift Supervisor
+ Fill in for other Supply Specialists, as necessary
+ Fill in for Shift Manager, in an emergency basis, when he/she is out on an unplanned absence
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Several years of experience in hospital materials distribution, logistics or inventory management required
+ Must be a “critical thinker” with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment
+ Strong product knowledge a must
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills are required for success in this function
+ Demonstrated good ability to prioritize work, strong organizational skills and initiative to improve processes
+ Consistently display a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
+ Ability to lift 40 lbs
+ Repetitive motion
+ Reaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs
+ Walking, standing for extended periods of time
