Responsibilities:
Verifies accuracy of shipment by counting, weighting or measuring items and comparing to information on invoice or packing slip and purchase order.
Inspect items for damages or defects such as spoilage, dents, and breakage.
Performs temperature checks of potential hazardous foods.
Attaches invoice to purchase order and forward to Dietary Office for recording.
Prioritizes storage of items received, stocking frozen and refrigerated items immediately upon receipt. Stock grocery items stored at room temperature last.
Carries, hand truck or pallet jack items from receiving area to proper storage areas.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Hospital food service experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided
