Supply Technician
Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supply Technician. Duty Location: Folsom, California Responsibilities As a Supply Technician, your duties will include: Providing technical support for property and vehicle functions support. Processes goods receipts in the system of record for accountable property that is received by all offices under the authority of the CCAO. Ensures that received property is appropriately assigned to an employee with Custodial Property Officer roles for their business area. Investigates property losses/damages. Receives shipments, checking for damage and compliance with conditions of acquisition/contract document and prepares receiving reports for submittal. Reviews requisitions to determine if items are available or suggests substitutions from stock, surplus or other government sources. Inspects the equipment/property to determine the appropriate method of disposal with proper hazmat and recycling options. Collects monthly utilization reports on every fleet item in an appropriate time frame to ensure the data is entered into the system of record prior to the due dates established by Bureau policy. Tracks fleet credit cards assigned to each piece of fleet equipment, reconciles receipts with fleet card statements, ensures proper use of cards, and serves as a point of contact for questions regarding appropriateness of intended fleet purchases. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation. You must meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements (see Qualifications). You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times will result in removal from the position. You may be required to wear the Reclamation issued uniform while working. You will be required to obtain a successful pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying your ability to perform the duties of this position. A physical exam may not be required if a comparable agency approved examination was performed within the last 12 months. The cost of the exam will be reimbursed by the agency. Must be able to obtain and maintain an OSHA forklift certification. To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience working in warehouse operation (Providing for the control, receipt, issue, storage, inventory, and disposal of warehoused and issued property items.); Records Management (Provides for the receipt, control, use and disposal of accountable property and materials); Fleet Management (Experience Maintaining appropriate records EX: vehicles, trailers, boats, and heavy equipment) These examples are not all inclusive. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 10/24/2024. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.
