Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supply Technician. Duty Location: Elephant Butte, New Mexico Responsibilities This position is based in the Storage Group Elephant Butte Field Division, Power Office, Upper Colorado Region, with the duty station in Elephant Butte, NM. The selected candidate will provide property and supply management operations and technical support to the division, along with simplified acquisition administrative support. Duties include but not limited to: Serve as the primary technical resource for property management. Provide technical expertise in various supply, warehousing, and property management disciplines. Maintain and update motor vehicle reporting systems. Requisition supplies and equipment. Oversee space utilization and disposal of property, inventory and accountability management, and equipment maintenance. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing three (3) of the following: 1) utilizing computer based programs and web-based systems to maintain or report supply inventory; 2) requisitioning and distributing supplies and materials within an organization; 3) providing information on property and supply management, and procurement activities; and/or 4) conducting detailed inventory on accountable property. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies". You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 11/07/2024. Education There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. It requires a fully completed and favorably adjudicated SF85 Background Investigation (T1 or equivalent) that is current (within the last 5 years). This is a condition of employment. Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary; however, about 20 percent of the time the work does involve some walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying of light to heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds in order to properly store and dispose of property and supplies, conduct inventories, evaluate property and space, etc. The position also requires driving vehicles to various location for preventive and corrective maintenance, and to pick up or deliver supplies. The work may also involve operating a forklift. If the incumbent operates a forklift, proper training and certification will be required. Some travel is involved for attending meetings and training. Working Conditions: The duties of this position are performed primarily in a warehouse and office setting. However, the work involves occasional work in outdoor and industrial settings and in the main warehouse area with moving warehouse equipment, carts, and machines. Safety precautions for the setting including wearing hard hats and proper footwear are observed.
