Support Desk Engineer

**Description**
**SAIC** is seeking a **24/7 Support Desk Engineer** to join our team in **Huntsville, AL.**
**This is to fill a position for a 24/7 support desk that provides Level 1-3 remote support and system expertise to include:**
+ Configuration support of end user.
+ Remote software troubleshooting with end user.
+ Remote network troubleshooting with end user.
+ Software testing for development team.
+ Support tools and process refinement.
+ Documentation of issues, resolutions, and knowledge base articles.
**This position could require:**
+ **Up to 10% travel**
+ **Rotating shift schedules with 8-12 hour shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts.**
**Qualifications**
**Education Requirements:**
+ Must possess a Bachelors and two (2) or more years experience; Additional four (4) years experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
**Required Experience/Skills:**
+ Ability to acquire IAT Level II Certification.
+ Experience as system administrator.
+ Experience in a service desk environment to include using ticketing system to track issues and issue resolution.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Strong experience with troubleshooting independently.
+ RedHat or other Linux distro experience.
+ Experience with TCP/IP networks.
+ Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
+ Strong documentation skills.
+ Strong communication skills.
