Job Description: Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our optical systems and satellite manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with experience in laboratory settings and maintenance of high-precision equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and manufacturing equipment. - Assist in the calibration and testing of optical systems and satellite components. - Conduct quality control inspections and document test results. - Maintain and troubleshoot optical testing setups and associated hardware. - Ensure compliance with ESD and cleanroom protocols. - Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues. - Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of tools and supplies. - Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: - Associate degree in Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor"s degree preferred. - Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment for high precision optical products. - Familiarity with optical testing methods and equipment (interferometers, power meters, fiber optic architecture) - Proficient in the use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and laboratory equipment. - Strong understanding of ESD control measures and cleanroom standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: - Experience with satellite systems and related technologies. - Knowledge of CAD software (NX UGS) and technical documentation practices.
