The Opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Support Services Manager.
The Support Services Manager provides leadership and direction to the Mission Systems program and is responsible for overall management of the delivery of mission systems and support services associated with the program.
The Support Services Manager is responsible for day-to-day leadership of the support team and for the delivery of services to fulfill KBR’s obligations against the statement of work. These obligations include the setup, operation and maintenance of KBR elements of the Support System, and successful integration of KBR and Commonwealth elements of the Support System.
Responsible for the Support Services Master Schedule and implementing the approved
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
Contributing/responsible for Contract Status Reports (CSR)
Analyse and review Performance Measurement Reports
Responsible for supply support working closely with proposed subcontractor, Touchpoint
Responsible for AIC management including developing the AIC plan, gaining approval for the plan from the Commonwealth, implementing the plan and evaluating outcomes, as well as providing AIC reports
At the highest organisational level, has authority over all aspects of the Mission Systems Program scope of Services, including policy formation and application.
Makes decisions critical to Mission Systems Program success.
Responsible and Accountable for initiating and setting goals for Mission Systems Program according to the strategic objectives and requirements. Is fully accountable for actions taken and decisions made, both by self and others to whom responsibilities have been assigned.
Responsible for supervising, authorising, and making strategic Mission Systems Program decisions.
Responsible for assuring the Executive Authority that the Mission Systems Program contract is delivered in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Assesses the impact of legislation and actively promotes compliance.
Ensures that the organisation develops and mobilises the full range of required digital skills and capabilities.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
Hold, or be eligible for, membership (fellow) of a recognised professional body.
Bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project or program management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management of major programs comprised of multidisciplinary teams.
Applies highest level of leadership skills.
Has a deep understanding of the industry and the implications of emerging technologies for the wider business environment. Communicates the potential impact of emerging practices and technologies on organisations and individuals and assesses the risks of using or not using such practices and technologies.
Has Defence Industry knowledge.
Has a full range of strategic management and leadership skills.
Very high level of Verbal and Written Communication skills. Understands, explains and presents complex ideas to audiences at all levels in a persuasive and convincing manner.
NV1 Security clearance (or ability to obtain).
