Job Description

Please read description carefully as this is not a patient care role. Support Technicians help the unit run smoothly taking care of the following:

Provides support services to department by fulfilling responsibilities related to a clean work environment, food services needs, materials management, and ancillary support to staff. Proactively support efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Job Responsibilities

Maintains cleanliness of department(s).Maintains orderly physical environment.Maintains par levels of all identified supplies, restocking patient room supplies and carts.Cleans and restocks all unit-specific equipment as needed.Provides support services for patient needs.Provides liaison for food/nutrition services.Maintains quality control.Complies with all safety-related policies and procedures.Practices customer service skills to both internal and external customers.Completes daily responsibilities and special projects in a timely manner.Changes out linen bags a minimum of every shift and more often as indicated.Maintains department refrigerators and freezers, logs temperatures, defrosts as needed, and cleans daily.
