Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seeks to hire a full-time Palliative Care physician at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level to join our clinical faculty at City of Hope, Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, hospital, and surrounding networks sites located in Southern California. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians to provide inpatient and outpatient care to our patients ensuring that patient centered care e is at the center or our work.
Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and chaplains - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. By bringing together clinical services, treatments, and the respective multidisciplinary team in one place, we can deliver truly coordinated care in a way that is effective and convenient for our patients. Qualifications:
Academic record consistent with appointment Assistant, Associate or Professor level at an ACGME accredited program is a plus but not requiredApplicants must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from an accredited educational institution and boarded (or board eligible) in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.Have or eligible to obtain appropriate license to practice Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted medical license in the State of CaliforniaExperience with patients with a variety of cancers, cancer treatments and related symptoms, CAR T and stem cell transplantExperience with inpatient and outpatient palliative medicineComfort with flexibility and change as our program evolvesExperience working closely with multiple specialists, APPs, social work, acupuncture, massage, chaplains, music therapists, case managers and nurse navigators.
