Job Description:

About the Role: 

The Production Supervisor role at the Cambridge location provides support to the Production team in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement.  You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: 

Interpreting safety policies/practices to employees including enforcing safe work practices 

Supporting and driving for completion of audits/actions  

Utilizing available data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability  

Ensuring product quality by understanding and communicating customer needs to employees and managing expectations for quality  

Assisting employees in diagnosing malfunctions in work and machine activities 

Requisitioning/maintaining supply of materials and tools for the area  

Interpret specifications and job orders to employees and assign duties based upon work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel 

Recommending measures to improve safety, quality of product, production methods, and equipment performance (use of CI tools and SRC is recommended approach) 

In conjunction with HR and management, provide performance management for assigned team members that include appraisal/performance evaluation, coaching and counseling, conflict resolution, corrective action, and training programs  

Maintain time and production records and accurately complete all reports as required by the company  

Maintain area in accordance with BRC standards and enforce product safety and sanitation regulations  

Leads SRC with team members and determines corrective/preventative actions to eliminate problems  

Important Details: Employees work 12-hour shifts (5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am), earning full time hours while only working an average of 14 days per month. Rotating weekends required: employees scheduled to have every other long weekend (Friday through Sunday) off. 

About You:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos  

Ability to effectively communicate with employees  

Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, computer scanning devices, adjustable measuring instruments  

Ability to check reports, forms, records and comparable data, where interpretation requires basic skills knowledge  

Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
