How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region: Responsible for the management of a specific functional area with the Revenue Operations Department including: supervision of professional, paraprofessional, and support employees; coordinating staff and fiscal resources to meet department goals; recommending policy changes and activities to meet Council needs in assigned activity area; developing and implementing long and short term programs to support the mission of the department and Metro Transit; and serving as the department expert in the assigned area and is responsible for integrating with the other Revenue Operations areas as well as other internal and external functions. What you would do in this job + Initiate, plan and implement, and analyze process improvements, enhancements and revisions in areas of expertise to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations and resolve identified issues. + Manage customer, vendor and other stakeholder relationships, initiate and develop collaboration for common goals and Metro Transit initiatives with key stakeholder functions (Marketing, Accounting, Information Systems). + Create and maintain appropriate documentation of processes and activities in areas of responsibility. + Identify, develop, capture, analyze and report key measures of area activities to monitor performance against established goals and objectives. + Participates in the hiring process by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations. + Develops and oversees training of new hires. Reviews and updates training programs. + Adheres to department budget including controlling expenses and tailoring department activities to budget requirements. + Processes all departmental paperwork as required and performs other duties as assigned. + Ensures daily and weekly sales transactions are processed and posted to allow for processing monthly accounting entries for retail, ticket vending machine and webstore sales. + Develop, operate and enhance automated customer systems (web, e-commerce, etc.) order processing, billing, credit and collection processes with associated accounting and financial controls. + Train, equip and monitor staff in the sales and distribution of fare products, financial balancing processes and distribution of Transit system use information to customers. + Supervise transit service center and manage relationships with external retail partners. + Train, equip and monitor Retail Partners in the sales of fare products in compliance with terms of Retail Agreement. What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications) Education Any of the following combinations of experience and completed education (degree field of study in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or closely related experience in retail operations or customer support services in a retail environment. Experience must include at least one (1) year in a supervisor, leadwork or project lead experience. + High school diploma/GED with eight (8) years of experience + Associate degree with six (6) years of experience + Bachelor’s degree or higher with four (4) years of experience. License Requirements: + Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
