And we need a whole team of people to keep things running in tip-top shape From the exceptional service at the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes making sure your checked bags arrive with you, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the implementation of resource planning best practice strategies and processes. Works closely with departmental leadership to optimize manpower resources across the airport, while adhering to labor contract constraints and meeting or exceed service and cost targets. Manages a team of resource planning professionals responsible for running a daily resourcing operation covering thousands of airport operations employees.

Optimizes manpower resources across departments for each flight schedule to support the achievement of financial and operational objectives Responsible for short-term planning manpower delivery ensuring operational effectiveness and overall station personnel budget Proactively identifies opportunities to improve operational and cost performanceAnalyzes labor contract and potential service standard change and flight schedule change scenariosWorks with operating departments to establish shift and vacation bids that reduce service defects while controlling costs Develop strong relationships with numerous work groups Work closely with union representatives

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelors degree in business, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline involving quantitative analysis2-3 years leading a team3 years of relevant work experience Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of dataHigh level of analytical abilityStrong management and leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel and power point presentations)Enthusiasm and passion for the airline industry and working in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environmentMust be able to have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing, walking or carrying/moving materials up to 50 lbs., as requiredMust be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidaysMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Knowledge of scheduling tools (Inform, StaffPlan)Proficiency with complex data sets and SQLExperience with simulation softwareExperience with manpower scheduling applicationsWeb development and data visualization skillsExperience working within a union environmentStrong knowledge of Airport Operations functionsThorough Knowledge of operational and corporate policies and procedures CBA
