Job Summary

\n

As Supervisor of Anesthesia Technicians, you'll organize daily tasks and manage staff to improve productivity. You'll oversee care, performance, and compliance. Your goal is to streamline operations and ensure high-quality patient care, making a positive impact on healthcare outcomes.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nYou'll help the anesthesia team by ensuring supplies and equipment are always available at each site they work.\nYou focus on customer needs by communicating effectively, being proactive, and contributing to a teamwork environment.\nYou help Anesthesiologists with catheter placement, including arterial and jugular catheters. Tasks include attaching transducers, flushing with saline, obtaining blood gases, and assisting with interpretation.\nYou will be a key participant in the physiological monitoring of patients during procedures where anesthesia is needed.\nYou are responsible for managing supply and inventory. This involves ordering supplies, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness and safety.\nThis role involves coordinating team policies. It includes selection, training, and assessing employees to meet employment regulations.\nYour main duty is overseeing and adjusting staffing levels to ensure anesthesia operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nProfound understanding of anesthesiology methods, vocabulary, medication, and tools needed.\nProficiency in preparing the operating room for various procedures.\nCapacity to stay composed and effective during urgent situations.\nSkills in maintaining, cleaning, and executing minor repairs on equipment.\nExcellent communication skills, both in conversation and in written form.\nSocial aptitude for effective and amicable interactions with patients and staff.\nAbility to read, comprehend and follow instructions and procedure protocols.\nSkilled in sensible decision-making regarding work delegation and direction for staff within the guidelines and procedures in place.\nAptitude in recommending hiring and termination recommendations.\nAbility to coach and assess the performance of staff.\nBasic computer knowledge in applications such as Microsoft Office, data protection, scheduling and payroll systems, digital medical documentation, and email.\nA certification as an Anesthesia Technician is highly desirable.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma or GED EquivalentEXPERIENCE - (2) two years of experienceCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
