Public Consulting Group, Inc. (PCG) currently seeks highly organized and detail-oriented individual with drive and determination to aid in our mission to support low-income families in San Diego County. PCG is seeking highly motivated and dependable Child Care Supervisor with an interest in public service who can work in our San Diego, CA Stage 1 Child Care Services operation. The Supervisor will oversee a unit within the CalWORKs project team. This staff will be responsible for working with families and staff of diverse backgrounds, determining childcare team needs, entering appropriate information into CalSAWS, internal databases, and continuously monitoring childcare schedules and be the team lead for the KinderTrak data management system.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage team of Case Managers and Program Assistants that work directly to support the Child Care team with CalWORKs.Ensure that services and outcomes are accurately tracked and reported timely.Request and compile required reports and documents needs by upper leadership team.Understanding of child care options available to parents, including understanding of child care quality designations.Implement best practices, create SOPs and continuously assess for process improvements; ensure employees are equipped with the necessary training and tools to be successful in their roles.Lead team through organizational change and transitionsTrain and lead team to ensure proper work performance and accuracy in reporting.Establish and maintain good working relationships with partners including CalWORKs participants, County staff, child care providers and stage 2 and 3 childcare payment agencies.Provide monthly reporting statistics to supervisor for designated area of responsibility.Ensure regular quality control checks relative to data and system functionality are performed of KinderTrak (KT4)Quality Control reports are run regularly. Data inconsistencies or issues are brought to the attention of the supervisor.Provide training to newly hired staff in proper system use.

Required Skills

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.Understanding of modern office methods and practices; efficient with computers.Demonstrated ability to use various computer systems, preferably CalSAWs and KinderTrak, although not required.Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with community partners and providers.Ability to partner with and motivate clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.Ability to maintain a record keeping and follow-up system.Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and on multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in meeting deadlines and adhering to strict standards

Qualifications

Associates degree or 6 years’ experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred6 years paid experience in home and community based services (HCBS), specifically experience with any of the following: incident investigation, assuring individual health and welfare, quality assurance, clinical; risk management, the mental health system, or interfacing with law enforcement, nursing homes, children services, adult protective services, or the Department of Developmental DisabilitiesA Licensed registered nurse (RN), a licensed social worker (LSW, LISW), Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board, or licensed counselor (LPC, LPCC)

Working Conditions

Office SettingAbility to travel up to 20% of time

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $63,200 - $69,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below.
