SUPV INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC)
Summary You will serve as a Division Head, Information Systems & Services Division in the Information Management and Technology Department of SUBMEPP ACTIVITY. Responsibilities You will create, apply theories, principles, practical concepts, processes, and methods related to computer science technology, and applications You will plan, task, coordinate and review the work of Information Systems and Services Division contractors for timely completion meeting SUBMEPP quality expectations You will monitor the quality and quantity of work performed, ensuring clear lines of responsibility and accountability exist and are understood by the contracting partner in alignment with the Performance Statement of Work. You will develop plans and techniques to fit new situations to improve overall program and policies. You will provide tasking to SUBMEPP support contractors or equivalent IT service providers to the appropriate area of responsibility in the Information Systems and Services Division. You will define the overall objectives, planning factors, milestones, priorities; and the general approach subordinates should use in performing their assigned tasks. You will introduce and/or implement innovative approaches to resolve unusual/difficult issues significantly impacting important policies or programs; promoting and maintaining a work environment of cooperation and teamwork. You will convene and chair conferences within SUBMEPP to discuss and establish requirements, schedules and the optimum utilization of resources. You will establish precedents in application of problem-solving techniques to enhance existing processes. You will develop long-range plans to meet the objectives of SUBMEPP IT programs; to include developing long-range corporate strategies relative to selection and installation of new Information Technology products and services. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading the planning, policy development and implementation of Information Technology systems, services, and products in an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
